Frequently Asked Questions

If I pledged to buy $5,000 worth of sponsorship do I get to ride the blimp?

Yes, purchases of $5,000 or more come with 3 days of blimp flight time or 18 hours (6 hours per day). You are welcome and encouraged to offer up any part of this time to the main stream media and/or local press to maximize the coverage of your sponsored message.

What are your plans for the national and local media? How will you maximize the exposure the blimp recieves?

We will be inviting the main stream and local media outlets to come aboard the blimp and take a ride. We're shooting for as many live broadcasts from the blimp as possible. Whereever the blimp lands rallies will be held w/ media (both local and main stream) in attendance.

The original budget called for $350k to support the blimp. Since then other ideas such as a spot light truck, remote controlled "pace car" blimps to follow, and paid staff to support the program have all been added. What is the financial impact to the original $350k plan?

Great question! We will be selling advertising space/time indefinitely. We hope to fund this advertisement until inauguration day!

What will the blimp say? What is the message?

We have a whole page devoted to that question.

As somebody considering buying ad time on the blimp, I am concerned that if the blimp accidentally damages personal property, or causes loss of life or injury to a passenger or person on the ground, that I could be held partly liable for supporting this program? Ie. will I get sued?

No, you are not liable. The airship owner, Airship Management Service, is responsible for this. They have insurance. Passengers will also sign waivers.

We have been told that the blimp will fly over the Super Bowl and Times Square for New Years. Has the proper research been done to get the security clearance for these incredibly restricted regions of air space?

Those spaces are restricted for commercial and pleasure flights. This flight is neither.

We are engaging in constitutionally protected political speech. Our First Amendment attorney is preparing papers now to file for court orders to assure that we get to excersise that right, and will be coming all the way from Hawaii to Washington DC to file them this week.

Times square seems doable, as well as Wall Street, and the Federal Reserve Banks of Washington, New York, and Boston, in that order.

While it would be quite difficult to get the first blimp all the way across the country to the Super Bowl, we could get another blimp in Arizona for the Super Bowl, if Ron Paul supporters sponsor it. The owner of an airfield nearby has agreed to host us for free. Then we could keep this one East coast focused until Super Tuesday.
