The Blimp is flying and in the air over the stadium area! The GPS is functioning and you can track their progress. Blimp GPS

Several Blimp Sponsors are aboard for the flight over the stadium and the Blimp will return to Vandenberg airport to disembarque them. ETA at Vandenberg is 12:00 noon.

The Blimp will then head north toward Gainesville at about 12:20 to pick up the remainder of today’s schedule transit flight.

Good morning!

Right now it’s foggy on the ground at Vandenberg Airport but the fog is clearing and we should be leaving in 30 minutes. We currently have a low cloud ceiling but that is expected to lift and we are seeing patches of blue sky. Elijah worked hard to repair the GPS so look for us on the Blimp Tracker.

We were originally scheduled to depart at 9:30AM, now we’ll be leaving closer to 10:15AM

Ok, another update. The fog isn’t lifting particularly fast. Takeoff looks more like 11AM now.
