1:42pm… The Blimp has successfully completed the Rally at the St. Petersburg Pier and is now headed north along HWY 19 through the heart of the St. Pete Peninsula.

The Blimp is headed toward Tampa Bay and will be crossing St. Petersburg/Clearwater International airport, then cutting across Tampa International Airport as it heads into the city to make orbits of the downtown Tampa Bay area. They will also be over flying Busch Gardens as part of today’s exposure of the  Ron Paul Blimp Tour Message.

If you are in St. Pete head outside and have a look. Get out your camperas and video equipment. Get ready in Tampa Bay as well… ETA over Tampa is 2:30pm. ETA over Busch Gardens is 3:15pm.

Right now we are flying over the Southern tip of St. Petersburg. We saw dolphins earlier and are currently flying about 300 ft above the water. When we get to the rally we’ll be flying about 500feet above the water. 

Jason from Clearwater, FL Meetup brought Ron Paul bumper stickers, signs, shirts and pins aboard and we had a great time decorating the inside of the blimp and used t-shirts as seat covers.
