We are still travelling to Orlando, FL today. The fog and clouds just cleared out and the blimp departed a few minutes ago 1:15pm EST and will follow a course down the East Coast of Florida (along I-95 S) and over Daytona before turning inland for Orlando, FL.

We originally planned to take off from Jacksonville, FL at 8am and fly directly to Orlando, FL in time for flight over the Citrus Bowl Parade and a rally at Lake Eola. The weather in Jacksonville this morning (fog and low cloud cover) delayed our departure so we now plan to take a more leisurely course along the East Coast of Florida and circle Daytona on the way. We will not be able to make it in time for the parade or the rally. We will be in Orlando this afternoon and the schedule should continue from there as written in the Flight Plan.

(Changes pending…there is still too much cloud cover to fly and the winds on the coast look questionable. I’ll update as soon as I have more information.We will still be in Orlando by this evening.)

We plan to depart at 8:00AM tommorow, 12/29 and fly directly to Orlando, FL. We hope to arrive in time for the Orlando Citrus Bowl in Downtown Orlando at 11am EST.

We took off from Waterboro, GA this morning and are now headed towards Jacksonville, FL for the 4:00pm rally tonight 12/28 at the Jacksonville Landing. On our way we plan to fly over Savannah, GA and expect to be over that city around 10:15 AM. We will follow I-95south  as closely as possible along our way.
