First Banner has Arrived!!
The first banner arrived this morning, 12/12 and the blimp company started installing it around 10:30 AM! It should be completely installed by 4-5pm. I’ll be posting pictures of the installation later on today.
On a side note, Trevor and Elijah are safely in Elizabeth City, NC and talking to the managers and pilots to hammer out the details on our planned departure date, Friday, December 14th. .
P.S. The blimp is supposedly just enourmous in person and the first banner looks beautiful. You’ll get to decide for yourselves later when I get some pictures up.
Thank you Annya for getting some pictures up so I could steal them!

Thanks for the update. Nice to see a blog in place so we can keep up with what’s going on. I hope you’ll encourage all the members of the team to make entries, or at least keep some notes to pass on to you for entry.

Given the weather forecast for the NE for Sunday it seems like the best utilisation might be to head south to Charleston for the 16th followed by a SC
tour and then head north to NH weather permitting. The supporters in SC might be able to put together an impromptu rally. It looks like you need to make a decision soon so everyone can be put on notice.

That thing is HUGE!
Awesome job in such a short time frame!
It’s already generating media coverage and it hasn’t even flown yet. Imagine what is going to happen when it does start to fly and then there is TeaParty07.com on the 16th.
Congrats and thanks to all who made it happen!

Just curious, whats up with the rip on the ‘n’. Is it a required thing?
December 12th, 2007 at 10:53 pm
It’s not a rip Tom. That’s where the helium intake valve (or whatever you call it) is located.

Thank you folks for your hard work. It’s looking great and after the 16th. of Dec. I’ll be donating more money. I’m saving my money just in case we need to donate more then $100. to Ron Paul’s campaign, but I doubt I’ll have to worry about that at all.

Hi Elijah!!!
To think we were just out showing our support for Dr. Paul a few weeks ago!!! I was taken aback when you said what you were doing… Hope you have a good time with the fine people in North Carolina — very friendly folks… Thanks for your efforts in getting the blimp “off the ground”. Let me know if there are any matters you need taken care of at home, in Colorado.
—And, yeah, the “N” is right where the guy-tie-off is… Perhaps a little NON-PERMANENT Paint on the Blimp itself in this area???? I would press the point with the blimp company — we are paying ALOT for the rental, and the paint would come off, easily… (or even sticky vinyl from Party america)….
GOD BLESS THE RON PAUL BLIMP AND ITS SPONSORS…
GOD BLESS AMERICA
GOD BLESS DR. RON PAUL — OUR 44th PRESIDENT

How much is a banner like that, expedited?
I’d say, let’s have a raffle ($5-$200) on choosing the next banner.
*All* the money would go to winner.
Ideas:
Same ol’ — same ol’?

The official campaign ought to kick in enough to keep the blimp flying through the Feb. 5 big day, maybe down Florida way, back up through Atlanta. I’ll leave it up to you guys. Totally Awsome! Once the blimp ride is over, you’ll have some nice banners to hang on the White House!
