Over Savannah, GA by 10:15AM EST, 12/28/07 - Then to Jacksonville, FL via I-95S

We took off from Waterboro, GA this morning and are now headed towards Jacksonville, FL for the 4:00pm rally tonight 12/28 at the Jacksonville Landing. On our way we plan to fly over Savannah, GA and expect to be over that city around 10:15 AM. We will follow I-95south  as closely as possible along our way. Please check the blog and keep your eye on the GPS tracker for updates throughout the day.

    It looks great.

I’m about to suggest an idea that’s either impossible or easy for the programmers out there — I just know I’m definitely INcapable of it: Why not (if it’s easy, that is) have a wind speed and direction indicator on the tracking-map? That will help us all keep the weather in mind, which is important.

I say this because I’ve seen the blimp’s icon change (cool!) and the meetups appear. I can’t WAIT for the blimp to get to FL. I’m about 4 hours south of Jacksonville and I get off at noon, so the temptation is strong to go there TODAY, but I shouldn’t. Anyway, please put plans up for Saturday ASAP.

My husband and I enjoyed watching ya’ll go by just after 11:00 a.m. while we were out in our boat fishing. We couldn’t believe how fast the blimp moved. Thanks.
